Restoring Middle Ear Pressure and Hearing Clarity
Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD) occurs when the narrow tube connecting the middle ear to the back of the nose fails to open or close properly, leading to a build up of negative pressure or fluid. This often results in symptoms such as muffled hearing, a persistent sensation of fullness or “popping” in the ears, and occasionally discomfort or tinnitus. Our specialists provide a comprehensive clinical assessment to distinguish between obstructive ETD, often caused by inflammation or allergies, and patulous ETD, where the tube remains open. By addressing the underlying cause through medical management or advanced procedures such as Balloon Eustachian Tuboplasty, we aim to equalise ear pressure and restore normal auditory function.
