Mr Rovira is a Consultant ENT and head & neck surgeon at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital London with a sub-specialty tertiary referral practice in head & neck cancer surgery. He is a member of the Guy’s and St Thomas head and neck, thyroid and non-melanoma skin cancer multidisciplinary teams as well as part of the transoral robotic surgery (TORS) program. Prior to this, he was a Consultant at St George’s University Hospitals for 2 years. He has significant experience in the diagnosis and management of all types of head and neck cancer.

Mr Rovira graduated from the University of Barcelona and completed his extensive ENT/Head and neck surgical training at the prestigious Bellvitge University Hospital. He completed further specialised fellowship training in advanced head and neck cancer surgery at Guy’s Hospital.

He is actively involved in research and published internationally with several peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and a PhD thesis analysing the role of salvage surgery after head and neck squamous cell carcinoma treated with anti-EGFR. Currently, he is undertaking research focusing on developing a better and more efficient diagnostic pathway for patients with head and neck cancer. He is an expert reviewer for several head and neck international journals.
